We’re not entirely sure what we’re about but…

We notice that anonymity has a negative image in current popular culture. That association stems from a popular understanding of the hacktivist group Anonymous, and from what’s an obvious - if unintended - result of the internet revolution. Anonymity need not be dark; perhaps this project is about making a space for a lighter namelessness, and offering up a different kind of anonymity to public and civil discourse .

..if all else is failing, we’ll go for sincerity.

We notice that we live in an age when social media allows the personal expansion of self for every user and an easily-used metric for the calibration of message from expanded self to intended audience. We notice an inverse relationship between the counting of “followers” on social media and presence of leadership on the national stage. We notice that players on the national stage are obligated to continually satisfy the particular segment of the national audience that elevated them to that position. We notice that that, too, fractionalizes leadership.

We’re structuralists, not ideologues.

We hominids have occupied the earth for awhile now and have built structures, some consciously and some unconsciously. Structuralists occupy a realm of thought and (hopefully) action wherein those structures created by hominids contain the possibility of being understood and modified by hominids for the common good.

Cynicism is for wimps, irony is of limited value.

And righteous indignation has its limits, too.

Self-deprecating humor is the best kind.

And it’s entirely absent on the national stage.
